Nausea can be readily managed with a medication we prescribe called Zofran, which is highly effective in treating symptoms of queasiness. For a smoother and more comfortable experience, it is recommended to take Zofran about an hour before the scheduled ketamine therapy session. In the event that a patient experiences nausea after the session concludes, they are also advised to take Zofran to alleviate their symptoms.
Apart from medication, we also advise patients to fast for three hours before the scheduled ketamine therapy session. Patients are advised to only consume water leading up to the ketamine session since an empty stomach can help reduce the likelihood of nausea.
