We don't believe in one-size-fits-all approaches to mental health. Each patient works with their psychiatric clinician to create a personalized care plan, including dose and frequency. On average, most Innerwell patients are taking their medicine weekly, but this can range considerably depending on each patient’s conditions and their personal goals, from twice weekly to one monthly.
For example, conditions such as severe depression or treatment resistant depression are more likely to require twice-weekly treatments. If you don't have a chronic condition, once-weekly treatments may be suitable. If you aren't suffering from significant depression or anxiety and the focus is more on introspective work, reduced frequency may be appropriate. It's also possible to take a break from treatment if you're going on vacation and can't undergo ketamine sessions. In such cases, you can pause your treatment and resume once you're ready.
The first two ketamine treatments are considered a ‘dose-finding’ exercise, and it’s generally okay if there is a brief gap in time (e.g., up to 14 days) between the first two treatments and starting the next series of six treatments.
