What if my insurance plan is not covered?

We recognize the importance of accessible behavioral health services for all. Our ongoing efforts include expanding the list of accepted insurance providers, and broadening our coverage to include plans outside of California and New York. Stay informed of these developments by checking back here regularly for updates.

In the meantime, if your insurance plan offers out-of-network (OON) coverage, we can issue a superbill (i.e., an itemized receipt that is needed for insurance providers to reimburse you for services after you've paid) for reimbursement. If you’d like to check with your insurance provider about the possibility of OON reimbursement, here are the most common billing codes that Innerwell uses:

• 99204: Psychiatric Medical Consult
• 99214: Psychiatric Follow-up Appointment
• 90791: Psychotherapy Medical Consult
• 90834: Psychotherapy Follow-up Appointment
• 90837: Psychotherapy Supervised Dosing Session 

Please note that any superbill that is issued only covers appointments that have been completed, and not the total cost of the care package you have paid for or are currently paying for. Alternatively, we can also provide an itemized receipt of your entire treatment plan for potential HSA or FSA reimbursement.
