From time to time, patients may wish to pause their treatment for a variety of reasons (e.g., travel, drug holiday, etc.).
If you wish to pause your treatment* for any reason, please first discuss with your Psychiatric Clinician, and then our Member Support can review other logistical items with you related to your treatment pause (e.g., pausing payments).
Some points to consider discussing with your Psychiatric Clinician:
- If you intend to travel out-of-state for a prolonged period of time, please double check with your Psychiatric Clinician that they are licensed in the state where you’ll be temporarily residing, as this is required when you meet with them for virtual appointments.
- If you will be traveling out-of-country for a prolonged period of time, please note that your Psychiatric Clinician will be unable to renew your medications while you are abroad.
- If you intend to have a ketamine experience while you are traveling, we expect you to have a sitter in place. Your sitter does not need to be the same person for your at-home ketamine sessions. Please review this article for more information on the role of a sitter.
*Please note that you generally can take a break from treatment for up to 30 days (from your last appointment) without interruption. When you're ready to start treatment again, you can contact us and continue care from where you left off. If you require a break from treatment for more than 30 days, you may need to purchase an additional Medical Check-in appointment with your Psychiatric Clinician to determine ongoing clinical suitability for treatment.
